Propagation Technician Job Description

Eden Green Technology is looking for a passionate, driven and hardworking individual to fill a position as Propagation Technician. The Propagation Technician is a hands-on position and requires an individual who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and is accustomed to manual labor-intensive jobs.

Prior experience in the Controlled Environment Agriculture food industry is a plus but not required. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and organized individual to assume a position at a rapidly growing, innovative company.

Start time: 5am - 1:45pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain equipment and follow proper procedures to ensure effective plant propagation to meet crop schedule.  
• Execute various propagation techniques such as seeding, racking up seedlings, cleaning prop trays, and or anything else needed to complete tasks.
• Record data related to propagation processes, including prop inventory, emergence rates, and pests incidence.
• Willingness to adapt to changes in hours and performance goals as production requires.
• Skills working with and around plants in a production environment. 
• Clearly communicate roadblocks with the Propagation Supervisor during procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization within propagation to prevent disease and pests.
• Experiment with new techniques and technologies to improve propagation success rates.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment by adhering to all safety protocols, promoting teamwork, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Lift 50 pounds
• Stand for a full 8-hour shift
• Maintain a steady pace with careful attention to detail
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Open availability to work various work schedules including holidays and weekends if needed
• Must be able to work in warmer, humid environments
   

Pay Band: $14-$16/hr based on experience
