Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Supervisor to oversee and lead our
facilities team in ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of our facility and equipment. The
Facilities Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance
activities, including preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance. This role involves
supervising a team of technicians, managing work schedules, monitoring the use of resources,
and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a
strong background in maintenance management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability
to work collaboratively with other departments to support operational efficiency and minimize
downtime. This position requires strong leadership abilities, a hands-on approach, and a
commitment to maintaining a high standard of facility maintenance and safety

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee Daily Maintenance Operations: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities
of the maintenance team, ensuring that all equipment and systems within the
greenhouse are functioning properly and efficiently.
2. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative
maintenance schedule for greenhouse systems, including heating, ventilation, irrigation,
and lighting, to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life. Perform or oversee
corrective maintenance as needed.
3. Equipment Inspection and Repair: Regularly inspect greenhouse equipment, such as
HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, filters and climate control systems, to identify
and address any issues promptly. Manage repairs or replacements to minimize
downtime.
4. Team Leadership and Training: Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians across a
3-shift operation to service and maintain growing, production, packing and facilities
equipment. Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing
guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills development to ensure
a high-performing team.
5. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of tools, parts, and
supplies necessary for greenhouse maintenance. Order replacement parts and materials
as needed, keeping accurate records of inventory usage and costs.
6. Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans for
equipment failures and other emergencies. Ensure the team is trained and prepared to
respond quickly to minimize potential damage and loss.
7. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company
policies, local, state, and federal regulations, and safety standards. Conduct regular
safety audits and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
8. Energy Management: Monitor and manage energy usage within the greenhouse,
identifying opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements. Implement
initiatives to reduce energy costs while maintaining optimal growing conditions.
9. Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors and
contractors for specialized repairs, maintenance services, and equipment upgrades.
Evaluate contractor performance and manage service agreements to ensure quality and
cost-effectiveness.
10. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance
activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance costs. Prepare and
present reports on maintenance performance and budgets to management.
11. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost
savings within the maintenance function. Implement new technologies and techniques to
enhance greenhouse operations and equipment reliability.
12. Subject Matter Expert: For building Management System (BMS) and site Facilities
support equipment to include all Manufacturing Equipment, Water Sources, Boilers,
Chillers, Compressed Air, HVAC, Fire Protection and Electrical Systems, among others.
13.Maintain a safe and positive work environment by adhering to all safety protocols,
promoting teamwork, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and address
any performance or behavioral issues proactively.
14.Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Technical field is strongly prefer
● Minimum of 2-4 years of previous Supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment
● Previous experience working in a GMP environment.
● Previous Facility Management experience.
● Previous experience leading a Maintenance Team preferred
● Experience establishing and building relationships with vendors.
● Must be familiar with maintenance management system operations
● Experience implementing and maintaining TPM Systems is strongly preferred
● Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems including
refrigeration and boiler systems is a plus
● Understanding of direct and overhead cost systems
● Experience using, troubleshooting and programming PLCs is a plus
● Must be able to work flexible schedule to include days, afternoons, midnights, and weekend
work
● Proficient with computer systems including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
● Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.

Requirements:
● Must be at least 18 years old
● Minimum High School Diploma with supervisory experience
● Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours daily, with or
without reasonable accommodation
● Comfortable working a greenhouse environment with variation in temperatures, as well
as work both indoors and outdoors as required in adverse weather conditions
● Ability to work extended periods of time walking, kneeling, crawling, and standing
● Ability to climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, and work in confined spaces is
required
● Must have dependable transportation

Pay Band: $50-$65k/annual based on experience; benefits include medical, dental, vision and
401k with company price matching options.
